i am trying to find out about percy james tysoe born 17 nov 1926 stratford and died 1993 nottinghamshire. i have his mother as
 blanford cannot find his father etc any help in the right direction would be great cheers

His mother may have been previously married and therefore any remarriage would not be as Blanford.  However - any children born to the remarriage would show her birth surname

You need to buy a copy of his birth cert

If you check freebmd for Tysoe births with a mothers maiden name of Blandford there are potentially 3 other births but in Shropshire

Just a possibility:
There's a marriage for Ellen BLANDFORD to John STARKEY June qtr 1908 Aston.

Then a marriage of Ellen STARKEY to Percy G TYSOE June qtr 1919 Winchcomb.

Looks like her to me as the Death Reg for Ellen Tysoe 1945 has her age 63.
Fits with 1939 Reg Index also for her.
