McLAREN-Ture,Donegal

I am looking for information on the McLAREN family, supposedly from Ture. The family moved to Saint John,New Brunswick,Canada somewhere between the mid 1820s to the early 1830s. The individuals I am looking for info on are Robert McLAREN(b.abt 1774,d. Saint John)and his wife Elizabeth(whose maiden name I do not know). I believe Robert's father's name was Hugh as his oldest son carried the same name. It is also likely that Elizabeth died in Ireland as she was not listed as being buried with her husband(Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension).

The couple had four children:Hugh,Robert(d.in his teens),John(md.Elizabeth Jane KNOX)and Jane Eliza(md.William KNOX,Elizabeth's brother).

Irish records in Saint John are extremely hard to find because back in 1877 there was a Great Fire that caused massive damage to the city, including records. That means there's no 1851 or 1861 census(yet somehow the 1871 census survived??).
