Welcome to Rootschat.

Have you found his wife's grave to make sure he isn't with her? When did he die?

Hello
Have you checked the registers or just the cemeteries, remember not everyone had a grave stone.

Can I suggest that you change the title in your thread to something relevant to the query - you may have more replies then.

So are you saying that you don't know when he died?

Have you tried yffor.com
http://www.yffor.com/parish/clynnog/clynnogcladdu1849.html

The link I have given should link to th Clynnog Fawr burial register (I hope !)

I can't see your Owen or Ellin, Foel Ucha but there are two burials - Ann Hughes, Foel Ucha, aged 29 buried 1/11/1871 which would match with their daughter on the census for Foel Ucha; and also an Ellin Hughes, Foel Ucha, aged 22 buried 15/11/1871 which again matches their other daughter.

I have only had a quick look - you can have a further look - they also have marriage and baptisms..........you can sort by any of the columns.

keep us posted.
