How to retrieve toddler information?
« on: Wednesday 07 December 16 09:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

How do one go about retrieving information about a toddler?
Do they also have Death Notices?
I can’t seem to find any information, also been searching in EGGSA for the grave but nothing.

Christoffel Johannes GOUS “Christo”
Born: Circa 1950
Died:  Circa 1955
Family state his buried in Postmasburg.

He passed away in the car on a gravel road from Postmasburg to Kimberley. He had “witseerkeel” (diphtheria).
Any information or even directing me in the right direction will be of great appreciation (Been searching in FAMILYSEARCH for anything, but maybe missing it).

Thank you
Gous, Botes, Enslin, van Wyk, Erasmus, Liebenberg, Petersen, van Zyl, Nel, Vermaak, Schoeman

Hi

If his death was registered in the Cape there should be a Death Notice in this collection
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1779109
Only a portion of the records have been indexed you would need to know when and where the death was registered to find it through the browse facility. Though just checking the file they only have records up to 1955 despite the name saying that the DN's go to 1972. The originals would be in the Cape Archives,
The death note will only list the death  and who registered it.

regards
Gillian
