The last time i saw her was in 1969. i remember her as full of life type person and very giving. I used to go her place after school instead of going home. She always told me i was her little girl. My grandparents visited often. After reading your links i now know why she was close to my grandparents.
During the war my grandfather printed false passports for the Jews. Auntie Fanny used to tell me my grandfather was a great man for his country.
Thanks to you Fanny will no longer be a name on my tree. You have brought her back to life.

Many Thanks jorose

You are looking for information about Fanny Schouten. I have met her in the Netherlands in the 70's. She had been married with Ad Schouten about 1956, uncle of my wife. Her first husband was Juda Fruitmann. They had three children before the World War. They lived in Rotterdam since 1937. Son Ernest died before the war. Juda and their two daughters were killed bij the nazi's in 1943.

Hi Houdtgj, and welcome to RootsChat :) :)

You and Carol80 will find it easier to exchange information via the Personal Message (PM) system although you will need to make another two posts to activate it.

Just reply twice more, even just a smiley is ok.  ;D

Then Carol80 can send you a PM and you can exchange email addresses, etc.

By the way, RootsChat has a personal privacy policy of not posting details of living or possibly living persons. Can you confirm that all those persons you mentioned above are deceased?

Hello Carol80
Hello houdtgj

I registered some time back but this is my first posting.   My husband has used rootschat for many years.

I have just read the content of this thread and your connection to Fanny Schouten.  I knew this lovely lady in the 1960's when she lived with my grandparent in Te Awamutu.  Would be very happy to share what I know but due to some sensitivities I will build my communication to qualify for PM usage.

Hello Carol80

I am more than happy for you to have my private email in due course as we clearly both lived in Te Awamutu and more than likely know each other already    :)
