Hello

Hoping someone can help.

Looking for the birth of a Rosina Currie b. 1835 "Scotland".

Tasmania immigration List 1841-1884
ROSINA CURRIE...age 20 Presbyterian....could read and write ..from Scotland,,,,To be employed as a house maid for agent Alex Learmonth.

Arrived 29 Aug 1855 on the Storm Cloud from Glasgow

Had a search but I can't find her in the 1841 or 1851 census. Only possible match is in 1851 of a Janet R Currie, born 1835, Eaglesham Renfrewshire, although in 1841 her name is only given as Janet. Parents were Robert Currie (b. 1785) and Elizabeth (b. 1792)

Have searched for birth of Janet in case this provides details of what the "R" stands for in 1851, but can't find birth of any Janet Currie to parents Robert and Elizabeth in 1835

There is also a Rosan Currie born 1834 Glasgow in the 1851 census with a mother Margaret Currie born Ireland ..
Also a Roseann Currie born Paisley 1839 parents James and Roseann Currie might be worth a look
