I am trying to find out about this person's WW1 career, and his life before that. I have obtained his file from National Archives but it is greatly lacking in detail. Much of it appears to have been destroyed in 1932. He lived at Ardchattan Priory and was an officer in the Black Watch - Brevet Colonel on demobilisation in 1919. I have been told that he took issue with the authorities about the use of Chinese and Indian labour during WW1 instead of local French people being given the work.

Any help greatly appreciated.
