Could the name Beaty be short for Beatrice?

I am assuming that there is no address on the card to give any clues.   Are we possibly talking first world war era here?

Am I right in thinking that Louie is a man's name, or could it be a woman's name?

I see possibly Keiran?

I thought that too when I looked at it again  - a K scrunched up and on its side.

Thank you so much for all your suggestion. I will post the whole back so you
can see all of the message. Some others have suggested to me Kieran, Barnard or Herbert.

The piece I can read says Tell Beaty...i'll send her One next week and give My Love to her and receive the fondest love yourself ? same me. ?

On the front is TO MY DEAR SISTER so I presume Louie (possibly Louise) is a woman. Also it seems to be WW1.

Presumably it's from a soldier in the Royal Engineers signals company attached to the 20th (Light) Division. See http://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army/order-of-battle-of-divisions/20th-light-division/
