" JACK" Scahill born circa 1919- 1920

Can anyone see the formal name for"Jack" please. He shows up 3 to 4  years behind brother Owen at school. Owen  just scrapes in on the 1916 births.

Thanks minniehaha. Now why did I not think to do a search on Jonathon  ,especially as the thing I was doing immeadiately before was adding the children of a 4th cousin Jonathon to my tree.

EDIT Although Auckland Cenotaph says he died in 1951.

Thomas Edward Jonathan is buried at Waikanae and was known as 'John' according to his headstone.

Thanks Eyesee, I think he is my man despite the name change. Father was Thomas hence the use of a middle name. It is very much looking like he amd Brother Francis Patrick married Evans sisters. Johns wife Winifred made it to 101 amd only passed earlier this year. Nice article written by her daughter from when she turned 100. A son in Waihi also passed earlier this year less than 2 months after his Mum. Another nightmare family. In July 2014 there were 23 grands, 13 greats and 2 gg's. The only light is that the greats and gg's seem to be mostly in the Waihi based family. Cant wait to get to the electoral rolls in town tomorrow
