birth/baptism for Catherine Robinson abt 1791 Twycross

I previously posted about Catherine's husband John Wain at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=737635.0

It is said that Catherine was baptised in Feb 1791 at St James, Twycross but I am unable to locate her baptism nor her parents said to be daughter of Thomas Robinson and Catherine.

Hoping for some assistance please.

I have located Catherine's baptism 06 Feb 1791 at Saint James, Twycross. 

Her parents are given as Thomas Robinson and Catherine. 

Unable to locate her mother's maiden name and marriage so hoping for some assistance please.

The earliest birth I can locate is the birth of Catherine and Thomas Robinson's son George in 1786.

I do understand a marriage may have occurred after this date but also before.

Hello Willsy,

Thanks so much for looking for me.  I purchased the Twycross registers and the marriage is not listed.  I imagine this means the bride was not of Twycross.  Trouble is I cannot determine parishes close to Twycross 

I have the first child listed for them as 17 Dec 1786 and the births are very regular after that date. So perhaps the marriage you have located is too far from the births of their children?

Any ideas?

Am with you with the gap but may be worth looking at Saltby Registers. I don't have any other resources to check but maybe someone else here does

How about Thomas Roboinson (sic) (bachelor) and Catherine Mousley (spinster) both OTP on 26/06/1786 at Orton On The Hill by Banns! This is just by Twycross.

Then I would fancy the baptism of Catherine Mousley, daughter of Edward and Mary Mousley at Netherseal on 15/03/1761.

Edward Mousley of Seal married Mary Carver otp at Wymeswold on 17/04/1759.

Edward Mousley is buried at Netherseal on 6/12/1801 and his wife Mary on 11/01/1799.

That sounds just about right Truebrit.   In which Parishes are Orton On The Hill, Netherseal & Wymeswold please

The marriages are from the LRFHS CD of Leicester and Leicestershire marriages 1754-1837.

All of those places are in Leicestershire.
