Help with the Weaver family.
« on: Monday 19 December 16 07:36 GMT (UK) »
Caroline Ogborn born 1857 Almondsbury, parents John and Eliza Ogborn, married John Albert Weaver in 1881.  John 1834-1896 was born in Winford Somerset and they continued to live there until approx 1901 when  they moved back to Gloucestershire. John was a Farmer

They had 8 children, according to the 1911 census 2 had died.

Samuel 1883
John Joseph 1884
Edward 1886
Lewis William 1889
Caroline 1891-1972
Elizabeth Matilda 1893
Obed 1895-1962
Matilda Kate 1896

Samuel, Edward and Lewis grow up to get married.  John Joseph is on the 1901 census but cannot find him afterwards, also Elizabeth Matilda can find no record of her except her birth reg. As Matilda was used again for the youngest daughter she very likely died but can find no record

Isn't she with the family in 1911?  ;)

She marries 1927, a witness is L W Weaver - presumably her brother Lewis William. The certificate is on Ancestry.

Are you sure, if I'm looking at the right family, it is definitely Elizabeth and Matilda Kate is missing?

Groom,  you found a marriage for Elizabeth, thank you, LW could be her brother Lewis William.  So that leaves John Joseph b 1884, he was on the 1901 census.

Samuel b 1883 is on the 1911 census
Edward b 1886 living in Cirencester in 1911
Will continue to check on the others

Both Obed and Matilda are alive in 1911, staying with brother Samuel.

Caroline is with her mother in 1911.

So who has died by 1911? As far as I can see, they are all alive - 5 with their mother and the other 3 living together.

I think I've found the two children who died:

Joseph Ernest Weaver born Sept quarter 1887 Bedminster mother's maiden name Ogborn
died March quarter 1889 Bedminster.

George Weaver born June quarter 1890 Bedminster mother's maiden name Ogborn. Died the same quarter.
