Very possibly! I've never been able to find her on the English census. Would it maybe just have been a coincidence to meet and marry an Irish man in England?

Definitely says James . But yes, she is a domestic servant.

Catherine salmon and Francis Murray were witnesses and she was residing at 7 Samuel Street.

It took place in May 1897 and she was 24 years old according to it.

Absolutely!!! Will dig out the marriage certificate to check over what it says. To be fair maybe her dad's name was a mistake... my dad wrote his dad was called James  (coincidently his dad is called joseph!!) And was very much at the wedding alive.

I wonder did the registrar write the father's names the wrong way round?
Strange if Cornelius' father was shown as Joseph and actually James !!
edited to add - just realise I misread that! and you were talking about a different marriage!

there are service records for two Swords men Joseph born 1875 ? and Thomas Salmon born 1864
