Frith Farm Wrenbury and the Dale family
« on: Wednesday 21 December 16 08:10 GMT (UK) »
Dear forum members, I am currently researching the Dale family from Wrenbury near Nantwich who resided for a time at Frith Farm in the village. I am after any old maps so I can locate where the farm is/was and to contact any relatives of the family. The parents were Frederick and Martha Dale and three of their sons lost their lives in the Great War (Albert, Frank and Walter). I have a lot of info on the lads who served but any additional info would be welcomed. Thanks very much, Mark Potts.

Welsh newspapers

Search for "frederick dale" (include the "   " as part of search key) and use filters to restrict to Cheshire papers (Cheshire Observer, Chester Courant).

Also spotted one item for "walter dale" - haven't searched beyond these two names.

The Nantwich Guardian has articles on the deaths of the three sons Friday 26 January 1917 and Friday 10 August 1917, http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk
Frederick Dale was a yearly tenant of Frith Farm. From the Cheshire Observer - Saturday 13 October 1894
