I would be grateful for any biographical details on this man :

* Jackson's Oxford Journal, 16 September 1854, page 8.

BUCKINGHAM.

In the evening of the 6th inst., Enos Perth, aged 28, of Wantage, Berks, a travelling musician, who had been at St. Giles's fair, Oxford, was attacked with cholera in the street at Preston-Bissett. He was taken to the Old Hat, and attended assiduously by Mr. Duke, of this town, surgeon. He, however, expired on Saturday night.

Hi

I think this chap was in fact Enos PERT (not PERTH)

from registers of Wantage
baptism
1852 19th July Jane d/o Enos & Maria Pert of Mill Street - Lab

Burials
1852 Oct 25th Jane Pert aged 4m of Mill Street
1852 Nov 13th Maria Pert aged 26 of Mill Street

from the 1851 census - Wantage Fo 186 - Churchyard Lane
Maria Pert H M 24 Musicians Wife born Challow West BRK
Martha Ann Pert dau aged 2 born Challow East BRK
Belinda Pert Dau aged 11m born Wantage

How sad - it looks as though the two little girls were left orphans at his death.

Given the different surname - are you still interested in this family?
