Transcriptions NFHS
All St Nicholas Great Yarmouth- Burials
John Breeze 25 September 1838 age 74
John Breeze 22 April 1839 age 66 from the Workhouse
John Breeze 23 May 1839 age 24 from the Workhouse
John Breeze 10 April 1805 Widow age 76
John Breeze 4 November 1812 married man age 65
John Breeze 20 April 1824 age 59.

1824 age 59 giving a birth date of 1765 he would have been under age to marry 1783

The 1812 married man age 65 giving a birth date of 1747 making him 36 at marriage a little old for a shotgun wedding. The first child being baptized 23 November 1783 a mere 2 months since the wedding.

Looks like you will have to investigate all 5 families named John Breeze in Great Yarmouth to sort them all out. The two from the workhouse are probably father and son.

This may help, three of the John Breeze of Great Yarmouth left wills, they are at the Norfolk Record Office, Martineau Lane, Norwich.
1824 John Breeze, ref ANW folio 34 #28
1805  John Breeze ref ANW folio 60 #38
1838 John Breeze ref ANW folio 78 # 52

If they are not complete wills, names can still be obtained by who was listed re probate.
You can request copies or if some kind soul who lives in Norwich might look them up for you.

It is really important to find Burials to establish dob.

I noticed Trees have Susanna born 1743-1757, no Parents on 1st one, William/Sarah on another.

Susanna BREEZE was Buried 24 Feb 1831 age 66 (c 1765**)
She is not described as a Widow on the FreeREG entry.

SUSANNA Alden Baptised 1764 St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth (no exact date given)
Parents JOHN/SUSANNA.
Siblings;
WILLIAM 1766
ANN, 29 Dec 1771 as Allding*
(FreeREG)

So one would think John would be a few years older than her.

Susannas Burial;
Susanna ALDEN, 24 Feb 1799 St Nicholas, age 71 (1728), Widow, Nee CAPP
(FreeREG)

Marriage on Familysearch.Org;
John ALDEN to Susanna CAPP, 29 April 1764. St. Margaret'S, Lowestoft, Suffolk, England

Trish :)

Back in a few days, Merry Christmas!

There is a will online for the "John Breeze buried 4 November 1812 married man age 65" that 'amondg' found, that mentions his wife Elizabeth and a previous wife Phobe, so I think you can rule him out too.

Hi
I have just noticed your post, I have a John Breeze and Susannah Alden or Eldon in my tree

Birth 1763 Yarmouth
Occupation bet 1788 and 1810

about 47)
soldier Sgt in East Norfolk militia; Yarmouth
Military Discharge 24 Apr 1816 (about age 53) Filby nr Yarmouth

This couple married 30 Sep 1783 (about age 20) Yarmouth

I have a birth for a daughter Sarah borm on the 2 April 1796 in Yarmouth and Baptized in November same year.
There is a birth of a son Robert 25 Aug 1800 in Doncaster Yorks who was baptized along with a sister Sarah on the 21st Sept. as this Sarah birthdate is given as the 2 Apr 1796 I believe this would have be when John was posted to Yorkshire

Unfortunately I have not been able to confirm any info on Susannah

I agree it looks like Sarah was re-baptised in Yorks 1800 with her Brother Robert,
They were back in Great Yarmouth by 1802 when they baptised a JOHN, 6 Oct 1802.
