Further to your help re my Donnelly family in Dublin I have travelled further along the Anne Donnelly and Patrick Whelan road.  I found the last three sons (my grandmother's first cousins) in Wyoming USA working as ranchers and butchers, married and with offspring and I have proof via a death certificate that these are the same family.  Wyoming archives were wonderfully helpful with free death certificates and obits and the "https://www.findagrave.com/" website is great for obits.  I also found free sites for Wyoming newspapers (http://newspapers.wyo.gov/) and California newspapers(https://cdnc.ucr.edu/cgi-bin/cdnc). I found my grandmother's baptism on this site (http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Search/indexp.html) though only one of her sisters so it is a bit patchy.  But the work of volunteers is wonderful and so helpful.
