Please Help: Tracing BMD of Michael & Mary Gallagher Ireland/Wigan c1820

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.

 I have the marriage of Michael & Mary Gallagher as 3/4 1853, Wigan but no trace of where they came from in Ireland. I have no info on their deaths but have applied for their marriage cert.

Their son James Gallagher was born on 17th March 1858, Wigan and married Ann Gallagher(nee Perry) on 25Th May 1879 at St Patrick's Church, Wigan. I have no death date for either Ann or James.

James & Ann's son - John Gallagher was born on 6Th June 1879-Scholes, Wigan. John Gallagher married Elizabeth Ann Brice on 26Th December 1904, Castleford.

No relationship shown re James but the marriage certificate may confirm if he is a parent of Michael or Mary.

Lancashire BMD indexes show Mary's name as Gallagher.

Lancashire BMD also shows above births as 'Gollagher' - I presume they are those anyway so you may have to look for variations of the name.

Yes the Gallagher family you've listed from the 1861 census is mine. James Gallagher (3 years) is my Great-Great Grandad. I have a Attached a listing from the 1871 census and everything matches up.

The surname Gollagher must be a spelling mistake, given the overwhelming supporting evidence it has to be Gallagher. Ive attached James Gallaghers birth certificate and his parents are Michael & Mary. It's says Mary's maiden name was also Gallagher(Gollagher).

I just now need a lead to where in Ireland Michael & Mary where born and where they died. It's difficult because there are a number of Gallaghers in the Wigan area that had large families- my Grandma Florence Gallagher was one of thirteen.

Hopefully, the marriage certificate will give you their fathers' names.
I have looked and the censuses give no clues.
