Looking for any info on John Patrick Flannery born c1916 Tipperary

According to John Patrick Flannery's probate record his widow was a Rose Flannery. He died 24 May 1952.

On his probate record it states Rose Flannery as widow. We know it's him as the address matches his death certificate.

Yes it does - probate granted to Rose Flannery, widow.

It just seems strange that he was married the year before his death to a lady who was not named Rose. That's why I wondered if Rose was his widowed mother and she would administer the estate.
However, it would be more likely his widow, I agree.

Was that when the bigamy was discovered perhaps?

Does the will give an address for Rose?

Address for John was 15 Hutment Camp, normanby Rd, scunthorpe

I may be wrong in my assumption that you are unsure re the bigamy allegation and that 'Rose' must be a previous wife. What I am suggesting is that the will might have information re Rose - where she was living etc which might help you to find that previous marriage.

Again, I am assuming that the address given in the record is where he lived with the lady he married in 1951.

Hi Heywood, the address on the probate is different to where he lived with his wife in 1951. Address is Scunthorpe Lincs where he lived and died in 1952, but in 1951 he lived in Rawmarsh near Rotherham South Yorks.
He met his death in an accident by being run over by a Frank Dutton who was convicted for dangerous driving. Johns spinal cord was severed and he later died in the war memorial hospital in Scunthorpe. All this info is on his death cert but i have searched newspapers to see if it was in any of them but cannot find anything. Surely something like this must have been reported in the papers.

Thanks for the information.
As aghadowey says on the other thread, it would be too difficult to merge the two so perhaps it would be best for the time being if this was locked and the other one remain open.
If you do nt have the will, it would be best to get it to see what info there is.
