Where is Brickyard Whittington?

Hi everyone!

I have an ancestor who was living at Brickyard Whittington at the time of her death in 1849.  Does anyone know where this was?

Can someone also suggest in which cemetery or churchyard someone dying in this location would have been likely to have been buried?

Sorry, to be more precise, the Registration District for the death was Chesterfield in Derbyshire (hence the question on this sub-forum).

Family search.org has burials in Whittington Parish Church 1849 cannot do search for you as you did not give name of your ancestor.

The 1881 census has a brickyard row, Sheffield road, Whittington which may be an indication as to where the original brick yard was sited.

Giving the name of your ancestor would assist with any searches.

Thanks.  The person in question is Elizabeth WRIGHT, wife of James WRIGHT, Coalminer, died 27 Dec 1849 at Brickyard Whittington, Chesterfield.  The 1841 Census had them at Little Compton, Scarsdale, Chesterfield.  They were the subject of an earlier thread..

It is important to check this with actual Parish Register.

** sorry forgot to add that in 1841 census Elizabeth and husband James + children are living at
Little Common Parish of Brampton. Hundred of Scarsdale. I.E. they were living Old Brampton.

This might explain why we couldn't find burials for either of them at Brampton.  From the DC James seems to have been the one reporting Elizabeth's death in Dec 1849, but I can't find him in the 1851 Census.  Is there by chance a burial for him at Whittington?
