Is that your George though - he was born in Liverpool.

Did you see the baptisms?

They are on Ancestry.
The names are  in Latin so don't show up in a general search. You can access them through the catalogue by searching for Liverpool Catholic baptisms.

Is that your tree which is published with Elizabeth Jane Cashmore as the children's mother?

You already have the baptisms then.

Have you ever checked the marriage of Jane Cashmore and James Allen in 1881. They are on the census for that year but I can't see them later.
I wondered if Allen was a substitute for  Halligan for some reason.
The marriage isn't online - just a transcript which states her father is George Traynor  :-\

Hi Mal,

I don't want to give you information you already have. Not that there is much, is there? I have searched for Jane and James with no real result like you.
You already had the baptisms on your tree so you know about the discrepancy with mother's maiden name.
Mary's baptism shows an address in Juno Street in 1881 but the family are not there in the census that year.
The other baptisms don't have an address but Sarah Halligan is the Godmother on both those. I wonder if we could find her?
Do you have any birth certificates for the children to compare Jane's name, James' occupation and any addresses which could help?
Regards and Happy New Year

Heywood
