Burial information
« on: Friday 30 December 16 21:24 GMT (UK) »
Good evening, this is my first post so I apologise in advance if its in the wrong area. Does anyone know how I find out who buried my grt grt grt Grandmother? She was buried at All Saints in West Bromwich in 1903 having died in the workhouse. Would this have been a paupers grave or would someone have paid to lay her to rest? Any information as to where to search now would be most grateful.

Hello Rosiejo,
Welcome to Roots Chat!I have just typed in West Bromwich archives, the records are held at Smethwick. They are closed until 4th Jan,but if you contact them ,they should be able to help, they are friendly!I had an ancestor die in Bristol workhouse, they had their own little burial ground next to the main cemetery. The details are on the Sandwell page, just type in what i did to get the details, but don't forget to say her name!!!If you get stuck, let me know.Glenysx
