Sir David Barr and Constance Frances Guillam Scott had 3 children listed on family search born Indore Bengal India.

Henry Keith Barr - 20 August 1872

Evelyn Constance Barr - 24 July 1874

Arthur Guy Barr - 25 July 1877

On the website :- The Barr Family of Apsley Town (page 3) - it is claimed there was 3 sons and a daughter.

4 living children are also listed on a certain census but I'm blowed if I can find that 3 rd son

Can anyone see another birth for a Barr son (other than the two listed)  ? Don't require any other information.

Thanks
Sandra

Note :- The first born son - Henry Keith Barr was mentioned in a thread where we were looking for relatives for the CWGC.  I spoke to a Great Nephew who was related to Henry Keith Barr and CWGC also have his details.

Not finding one  :(

I see they were in England at various times.  Have you checked any incoming passenger lists to see if the missing son is listed?

Found a few male Barr's travelling to and from London - India but unless two or more of them travelled together hard to know if any are your missing chap  :-\

Mostly they were in India from 1871 until about 1902 - quite a distinguished military gentleman.

Thank you for looking - I've tried on a few occasions but never found him, so it is seemed a good idea to see if anyone else might find him.

Thanks very much
Happy New Year.

If it wasn't for that certain census you mention I would have thought maybe the bit about 3 sons was an error.

Only other thing I can think of is if he was a witness to any marriages his siblings had.

You would expect him to have followed in the families footsteps career wise so perhaps he died  :-\

Hope you find him  :)

I fully expected to find him with an army background, as with the other 2 brothers.  The other 2 brothers did appear on an English census when they were young but as adults also served in India.  The Great Nephew, Grandson of Arthur has no information on the other son either - which makes him even more of a mystery.  ???

The one I can't translate or mention  :-\ The Barr signature is on it - so it looks authentic.

The one the parents completed Maggsie.

Did the other 2 sons marry?

I see them as children in England but did they travel over together or separate do we know that?
