I believe there was a third son.   He was called Alec, and was the father of Patrick Barr, the actor.   He may have been a judge.

Welcome to RootsChat

Interesting that you have just joined the site and choose this particular thread - are you a relative ?

Yes, Maureen found Alexander earlier in this thread. (reply 9) The ancestry coming forward has been researched and passed on to the family(2 January 2017) with details of living relatives. Although that e-mail has been received, sadly they did not reply.

I will post details to save anyone researching further.

Alexander (Assistant Commissoner - Berar Commission) married Margaret Birley - Q4 1901 - Godstone - Surrey -
Passed away June 1939 Lambeth Greater London.
His wife Margaret Barr born 8 May 1877 passed away Tonbridge Kent - December 1954 - Probate 10 February 1955 - London to Patrick David Barr (actor) and Arthur Raymond Rose (solicitor) Effects £9695  0s  9d.
Alexander and Margaret had 3 children - Patrick (1908) mentioned in the probate, Margaret (1904) and another female probably born after the 1911 census

Alex on the 1891 census https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:488P-MPZ

Patrick Barr the son of Alexander and Margaret - Patrick Barr - 13 February 1908 Akola India - 29 August 1985 - Wandsworth London.
Married twice.

Here is Patrick Barr listed on FIND A GRAVE

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=76446900&ref=acom

Appeared in films like Return of the Scarlet Pimpernel (1937), The Tragedy of King Richard II (1950 TV), The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1952), The Dam Busters (1955), The Longest Day (1962) as Group Capt. J. N. Stagg, The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1973), and Octopussy (1983).

Obviously lots more but unfortunately they are living relatives and I cannot name here.

Thank You
Sandra
