Mlanje a house name in Peterhead

Hello and a very happy and peaceful 2017 to everyone.  I wonder if anyone knows the whereabouts of this house.  Mlanje was the name of the tea plantation in Nyasaland {now Malawi} where my late brother in law was brought up.  I appreciate that we can't go around peering in folks' gardens but I would love to be able to send a photograph of the house to his daughter in Australia.  The family name is Garden and they have long connections with the Aberdeen, Banff and Buchan area.  Thank you, in advance, for any information, isk

These are the entries on the Registers of Sasine search sheet index.  Will look under the name to see if any Gardens correspond with same search sheet number.

Is that South Road, Peterhead, josey?

If isk does a Google map search for it and then switches to Street View , she might find it but it's a long road  :-\  I'll have a look too!

Yes, defo South rd, Peterhead; but seems in 2 flats now. And others entries for Turriff...

ADDED: No luck finding Mlange indexed under name of Garden [loads of pages of them  ;)]. Will try post 1993 index.

Can you give a forename please, isk?? Or at least an initial?

ANOTHER EDIT: Post 1993 address index has this
MLANJE  Search Sheet No. 69858
so looks like the 8 Johnston Park, Turriff address is the one still in existence. Did the family move & name each successive house the same? Maybe the Peterhead one has had its name changed...

Postcode finder has two addresses with multiple occupation - 36 and 37 - but neither are named  :-\

Ah, on post 1993 index I've found a Garden at Bowling Green Road SS40010 [wont publish name as may be living]. Will pm isk with name.

DOH!! Just re-read post heading, states Peterhead, so can't be the Turriff house.  :-[

No streetview available as it's in the middle of a patch of ground off South Road.  Location can be found at http://www.192.com/address/details/peterhead/ab42+3ab/mlanje/

Might be worth writing to the address to ask for a photo!
