Can anyone help me? Im looking for the parents of Charles Henry Hipwell b. 1885

Charles married a Harriet Ann Neal in Leciestershire 1903
In the 1901 and 1911 census Charles was living in Coalville, Leciestershire and was listed as being born in Staffordshire.
On gov website Charles Henry Hipwell is listed as being born in 1885 in Lutterall, Leciestershire with the mothers maiden name Shaw
I searched marriages of Hipwell and Shaw and came across the marriage of Henry Hipwell and Ann Shaw.

Im struggling to find Charles in the 1891 census?

The marriage certificate will show his father's name.

Also, maybe it was his mother's 2nd marriage?
In which case it won't be registered under Shaw.

I can only see this birth reg in 1882 not 1885

Have you found Charles Henry Hipwell on the 1939 register which will record his date of birth?

The 1901 census shows Charles as being born 1880. Walsall

This looks like his death which again indicates a birth date of around 1880

Deaths Sept 1/4 1966
Charles H Hipwell  age 86  Coalville  3a 394

He remarried in June 1/4 1930 to an Emma New,  Ashby de la Zouch reg dist.? All the records I have seen indicate a birth in 1880

I havent seen the marriage certificate ? I am doing this for a friend so trying to do as much for free as possible but if i have to i will to say you'll need a birth or marriage cert

I think you need to get the certificate for his first marriage. I did try eliminating all the Charles Hipwells through the censuses from 1881 onwards but the brain is fogged today so not positive of the results.
