looking for parents of thomas and elizabeth

I got a marriage certificate between thomas Henry Hughs and Elizabeth tonkin married 24 Sept 1842 in Paul. parent for thomas Hugh is Alex marrack and for Elizabeth tonkin was James tonkin ( dead ). Elizabeth tonkin was born in st just in penwith abt 1823. trying to find out who Alex marrack belongs to and when James tonkin died

On FreeBMD it says his name is HUGHS, rather then HUGH. Is that correct please?

yes it is hughs and not hugh

Don't know if it any help but I have found this:
1841 has an Alexander Marrack age 40 Clarence Street, Madron, Penzance Union, Cornwall, England Archive reference HO107 Piece number 143 Book number 3 Folio number    55 Page number 25.
and Alexr Marrack age 58 at Regent Terrace, Madron, Penzance Union, Cornwall, England.Archive reference    HO107 Piece number 143 Book number 2 Folio number 52 Page number 19.

From Cornwall OPC site:-

Baptism St Just in Penwith 15 April 1823 - Elizabeth Tonken. Daughter of James (miner) and Jane. Residence  - Botrea, Sancreed.

Possible marriage of parents - 27 May 1809 Sancreed. James Tonkin (jnr) and Mary Thomas ( of St Just in Penwith). This couple appear to have had six children baptised St Just 1810-1823.

I can see no entry that might relate to death of James.

I think James died between 7Feb 1841 and 24sept 1842 going on his children marriages
