Hi Lex. I am the great granddaughter of George Henry Thomas Jones and Ann Jones from Nambour in Queensland Australia. You can find some info and photos on Trove archives online. George was the town clerk of the Nambour Shire Council and convicted of embezzlement of same. Ann Jones was the first postmistress in Nambour. My grandfather Henry Thomas Jones was sent to run the family's Mooloolaba Pioneer Store when he was 12. Very pioneering stock. We do not know what ship he came to Australia on.

Hi Lex. I meant Mooloolah not Mooloolaba. Mooloolah is in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast inland from Mooloolaba on the coast.

Hi Lex. I am very interested in tracking back from George Henry Thomas Jones in Plumstead Kent. I was chatting with 2 of my cousins yesterday wondering why George Henry Thomas Jones came to Australia. We think he was an apprentice hairdresser and the eldest with father and brother being electrical engineers. GHTJ's grandson and great granson here are electrical engineers.
