I can't see how to stop annual renewal but as the credit card details they appear to be holding are wrong, my sub will run out. 

You can cancel 'auto renewal' by phone on their free phone no. 0800-404-9723

Thanks Annie, I'll try that, however, as I haven't got the credit card they think I have a renewal will not go through any way.

Once you are logged in - use the drop down menu and go to "Your Account" - on the right hand side it gives subscription options ........... this is where you can cancel your subscription.  This should be followed up from ancestry with a confirmation to your personal email address.

Thank you Sandra, I had seen that but I didn't want to cancel, just stop auto-renewal.  However, having read the notes it seems I can cancel 2 days before the end of the current subscription runs out, so I'll do that then, re-subscribe with the cheaper options - always assuming they are still available.

You can cancel it now, it will still run until the end of your subscription

Thanks Rosie, I assumed if I cancelled it would just stop, glad to find out the sub continues until the date it runs out - in my case 25 November.

Not sure if anyone would be interested in this for Ancestry but i used it a couple of weeks ago and as far as i am aware people are still using it now UK premium for £59.99 and then Worldwide for £89.99 for 12 months? It does say new subscribers only but as long as your subscription has ran out you can use it!

Does it allow you to renew with your old user name or do you have to set up a new account
