Gertrude's father was Alfred and he worked with the railways.
He is with Harold and Gertude in 1939. so it is 99.99 % correct.

 Census
Gertrude Amies Evans 12,  1911 with parents in Southsea.
Gertrude A Evans 2 , 1901 with parents and grandparents. So plenty of clues there.

By the way, the enumerators writing on the 1901 census is quite distinctive, I recognise it easily now,  he was Gertude`s future father in law, Joseph Wilcoxon - my Gt Grandfather  ;)
