I have found a prison record on ancestry for Thomas William Hey dated 1882.

Unfortunately I cannot read what the offence was or his punishment.

Can anyone else read this?

I can't get to it from that - when was he born and where in prison?

Thomas William Hey was born 26 February 1882 in Keighley, West Riding of Yorkshire.

He was married to Amelia Robinson in Keighley in 1901 and they had two sons.  Samuel was born in 1904 and James in 1907.

The sentencing took place at Wakefield.

Thomas William Hey, labourer of Burlington Street was sentenced to 4 months for stealing moulders tools from Messrs Dean Smith & Grey & Messrs Joshua Whalley & Co. Some of the tools where found in his residence.

I can read some old writing and I am getting better each time but that was just awful.

I could make out the tools bit on both lines but got lost with the rest.
