I would welcome any help in tracking down some information on John DANIEL(S). All I know is that he was a gunner in 4 co 6 Rgt Artillery Bengal. His number was 285. He was discharged aged 39 in 1855 after serving 17 yrs 2 mths.

P.S. Not sure whether this is the best board, so will also try the military board.

Are you looking for info re: his military history or details of his whereabouts etc after his discharge?

Where was he born?

More his military record, as I think I know what happens after his discharge. This assumes that his military record confirms that he is indeed my John Daniel(s). He was born in Winchmorehill/Edmonton, Middx in 1815. If it helps, his father was William Daniels and Rebecca Hobbs.
