Hello All,

I would like some help please, I am seeking a marriage for George Tolhurst born around 1799 Westfield, Sussex to John Tolhurst and Ann Polhill.

I have been given 3 different names for his wife so I can't add her to him until I find which one she is, children would be a bonus if any........thank you in advance.

1841 and 1851 entries show wife as Honor/Honnor or similar.  Quite a bit older than George - born 1783 Westfield

Something not right with Honour/Honors age

1841 - George 40   Honor 50
1851 - George 52 Honor 68

However - in 1851 they have an 8yr old son george Herbert and GRO maiden name search shows mmn as Hicks

No way Honor was 68

By 1861 He's married again to an Elizabeth from Leicestershire has two children by her and one from her previous relationship/marriage

Honor died June qtr 1857 - aged 56

George didn't hang around grieving - he re-married September qtr 1857 to Elizabeth Carrick who was 24yrs his junior
