Mary Jane Jones
Born: 18th March 1874, Brynmawr, Breconshire
Baptised: 8th April 1874, Wesleyan Circuit, Ebbw Vale

Father: Thomas Jones
Born: ~ 1853 Cwmdu, Brecon
Died: Apr 1881
Occupation: Stonemason

Married: 31st August 1872 Libanus Chapel, Llanelly, Brynmawr, Breconshire

Mother: Sarah Watkins
Born: 1855 Brynmawr, Breconshire
Died: Jan 1895

Brother: Hugh Wesley Jones
Born: 26th April 1878/6th April 1878 Clydach Bridge, Brynmawr
Christened: 1st December 1878 Ebbw Vale

Following her fathers death her mother remarried to William Long in 1883 (sometimes mistranslated to Fong)
They had 3 children Elizabeth Ann 1887, Edward Thomas 1889 & Margaret 1882.

1881 Census she is with her Grandparents at 7 Worcester Street, Brynmawr

1891 Census she is with her mother, step-father and siblings at 27 Brookside Row, Aberystruth, Cwmtillery, Monmouthshire
Residing with mother, step father, sister and step siblings

After that I can't find her!

I know she did not marry Henry Ashford, despite that Mary Jones having the same date of birth, I ordered the marriage certificate and a different name and occupation for the brides father.

Can anyone help?

It is possible that she did not know much about her father as he died when she was about 6 so just invented a name and occupation when she married.  Who were the witnesses to the marriage  :-\
