Hi Srini Durand (Edward Chapman), Thank you for the post and welcome to Rootschat. If you have any Downing/Chapman records I would be most grateful to know about them. If you can link the info to the thread about Mary Jane that would be most helpful. I guess you will love what I have, I have a neighbour lady that did my ancestry back forever. She sent me a pdf of it, but I changed computers and need to ask her for it back. She spend some years on this so it would be a shame to not share it.

I will talk to her before the end of the week..

I have an email that I give out that is sort of an email that I use so spam does not matter, you know what I mean.  I can give this to you if you would like it..   I do not normally give out my normal email, I did that once and within a week had to change it..

Our you still in the UK.. that would be cool..   BTW I have many town records like marriage certificates from the early 1800 also I could scan these.   I have never been to Flitton , but my Great Grandfather moved to Syracuse NY and became a House Builder, made quite some money at this, then my Grandfather blew it drinking and ended up as a mere house painter.

Even have passenger ship records from England to the USA if you are interested I could scan them.

My Grandfather's eldest sister married a Downing. That's my link.
