« on: Monday 16 January 17 14:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi. I ma trying to trace the family of the above, he was born on the 16.9.1883 at Castlereagh, Belfast. He died in Bristol in 1956. He was a Warrant Officer in the Marines. I think his father was Rbert Millar a Sadler. Can anyone help with the Irish Records?

You can look up birth registration here , free of charge:

wwwirishgenealogy.ie

There is a Robert Sheilds Millar born 10 Oct 1883 at Ballymaconaghy and registered 5 Nov 1883 at Castlereagh. Parents John Millar , a labourer, and Annie , nee Hanna. I can't see another matching the details you've given exactly.

On Robert's Service record (19 Oct 1900) his date of birth is shown as 16 Sept 1883.  ???

One of the next of kin entries - Mother , can't read much other than Down Pottinger, Belfast which ties in with the above census link.

A young man named Samuel Miller of Foxglove Street, was noted in a 1904 edition of the Belfast Newsletter, as having contracted Smallpox.

Agnes HANNAH m John MILLAR 1878 LINK
Lisburn 1878 Q3 V1 P633 not yet digitised
This could be them

The gap in ages between Annie and Samuel on the 1901 census
combined with the age difference between John and Agnes
would make me wonder if this was a second marriage for John
