Marriage record or 1911 census record
« on: Wednesday 18 January 17 23:36 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the parents of a Janette Shanks, born 11 March 1913, Athlone.

Her parents names were Thomas Shanks and Susan (maiden surname unknown)

If anyone can help me find the maiden name of Susan, and maybe also where the family were living on the 1911 census, I would be very grateful for any help.

Here's Janette's birth in 1913- father Thomas soldier R.F.A.:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1913/01460/1596132.pdf

Parents Thomas Shanks & Susan Fahey married a few months before in Dec.1912-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1912/09931/5610451.pdf

We're not allowed to to lookups for 1911 English & Wales census but we ARE allowed to search Irish census for you as it's online free.

This looks like Susan Fahey in 1901 census-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Westmeath/Athlone_Urban__W_/Queen_St_/1773868
and as Fahy in 1911-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Westmeath/Athlone_West_Urban/Queen_Street/876843

Athlone is in Co. Westmeath- is there a reason you've posted on DOWN board?
