There are gaps in the children's births. No sign of a Charles from what is shown there.

Also, from the dates showing here on this link above, likely that the Edmund who married Jane Ward was SON to Edmund Snr and Agnes Winn.

There is this 1841 census entry for Edmund Snr to consider:

Edmond Dobson 70 basket maker b. England
Ralph Dobson 35 basket maker b. England
Isabella Dobson 25
Edmond Dobson 9
John Dobson 7
Ralph Dobson 3

Address: Thorter Row, Dundee

So, could 'your' Charles be brother to Ralph and Edmund Jnr (who married Jane Ward)? Or maybe just family connections to this line?

Please do not put yourselves out any more on this. It is just a twig on my friend's tree and I have enough to consolidate for her to take it further if she wishes. You have to draw the line somewhere!!
