Yes there are a lot of Greenfields lol! I have a list of Greenfield wills and it's one of the longest list of wills I have for my Sussex research.

Yep that's what I thought lol! Exactly where my lot are as well. I don't suppose you have a Thomas Greenfield married to Elizabeth Wright in your family or a Samuel Grenefield? If you would like more details on my Greenfields let me know and I'll let you know what I have on them.

My Greenfields married into the Puttock and Gravett families so if you have connections to either of those names it would be great to hear from you.

I have been forever  looking for Jane Greenfield. Who married Edward Redman 1804 Billingshurst. Nothing is known of her. I have 3 births from Billingshurst CD who fit the bill. One is  Jane born 1795 daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth. There is a Zephaniah Greenfield in the pot who I feel is a relative he was witness at wedding of Jane's stepson 1831. A possible brother called Jesse Greenfield who took over their land when Edward and Jane emigrated to USA, they also named a son Jesse.

There are far too many Greenfield s for me to be certain of anything.

Give me a few days (or possibly a week) but I think I might have some material of interest to you. I think I might have some info on Zephaniah in my Greenfield notes and also Jesse.

Interestingly I also have Redman connections. My ancestor Thomas Gravett married Ann Redman in Pulborough.

I will get back to you with what I can about the Greenfields.

I have an Ann Redman b.1692 Wisborough Green  daughter of my gtx6 grandfather as yet nothing known.
