Hi Jerry,

There is a family tree on Ancestry with lots of information on Charles and Sarah and their families.

This is unfortunately a subscription site.

You could send me a private message and I will try to help further.

Do you have the marriage certificate for this couple which will give the parents ages ...I am afraid the only way to get the right information is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk..and not rely on information from family tree's ...always best to double check yourself :)

Point taken Rosie but sometimes other family trees are a good starting point, if you are careful.

Obviously, you have to check the information for yourself e.g. at Scotlands people.

Yes Dorrie agree but I would still check it out on Scotlands People  :)

I dont like these free sites where you have to pay or by credits for information
None of us likes paying for things, but if you are going to get this information reliably, either someone will have paid for it already, or someone will have to pay.

See http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=714261.0

Online trees can be a useful pointer to shortcut the search for information, but you need to be aware that online trees cannot be trusted 100%. It is too easy just to assume that something is correct when in fact it isn't, and sadly there are lots of trees out there that are at best misleading and at worst just plain wrong.

Can you get digital images of birth, marriage and death certificates in the Netherlands free of charge? If you can, please tell me where because I have some people I need to research in the Netherlands.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
