Looks good, anne_p, albeit you have inadvertently said birth of 'James' rather than birth of Francis:

The townland address looks to read 'Ballougay' so probably Balloughry/Balloughy, which came under the North West Liberties, Templemore parish.

There was a John L McElhinney in Balloughry at time of Griffiths valuation, as well as Currans and Currys in other townlands in the parish.

For additional reference, the Civil Index at irishgenealogy have indexed his surname as MCELHENNEY and Mary's as CURRID. Unfortunately, the image is not available there.

Thanks Scotmum,
I never noticed my typo.
Too late at night but, I did note the variations in McIlhenney/ McElhinney/Curran/Currey/ Currid.

I also thought  that Ballougay would be Balloughry but, hoped that someone with better understanding of  the geography could confirm it.

First of all many thanks to you all for taking the time to help solve my missing info. I am delighted that you have given me the links that have answered the question about Frank McElhinney. I did not notice the two children in the 1911 census and providing the death info on Elizabeth solved and completed the picture. Both Mullennan and Ballougry townlands overlap and are the outskirts of the city near the Donegal border.

Many thanks everyone

Gerry
