Dickson's of East Lothian:
Thomas Dickson (b.?, d.?) has an illegitimate son with Helen Preacher (b.1829 Haddington-1904 Galashiels)
Son: William Dickson (b.1854 Bolton, d.?)
I've nothing to tell me about Thomas, (but his son's marriage suggests he may have still been alive)
Helen went on to marry Alexander Hardie (m.1865)
1871 Census:
Residence: Back Road, Lauder
Head: Alexander Hardie, aged 29, Ag Lab, born Earlston, Berwickshire
Wife: Helen Hardie, aged 44, born Haddington
Dau: Helen Wilson, aged 11, Scholar, born Edinburgh, Midlothian
Dau: Euphemia Kerr, age 9, Scholar, born Fala, Midlothian
Dau: Mary Hardie, age 7, Scholar, born Westruther, Berwickshire
Dau: Betsey Hardie, age 5, Scholar, born Lauder, Berwickshire
Dau: Jennet Hardie, aged 3, born Stow, Midlothian
(Not sure if the first two daughters are adopted or Helen's from other relationships.

William Dickson 1st marriage (m.1874) Marion Stuart (d.abt 1851-1874 Liberton-Midlothian)
Marion Teir Dickson (b.1874 Bolton-d.?)
Thomas Dickson (b.1875 Prestonkirk-d.?)
Helen Dickson (b.1878 Liberton-d.?)
William Dickson 2nd marriage (m.1880) Margaret Scott (b.abt 1852 Oldhamstocks-d.?)
Euphemia Dickson (b.1884 Dunbar-d.1966 Haddington)
William Scott Dickson (b. 1887 Dunbar-d.1959 Dunbar)
James Dickson (b.1889 Dunbar-d.?)
Wilson's of Fife & the Lothians
Bruce's of Aberdeenshire
Fell's of Lanarkshire
Dewar's of Dundee & Glasgow
Kay's of Glasgow & Leith & East Lothian

(Child 1: Blair, b.?-d.?)
(Child 2: Ellen Blair, b.1915 Dunbar-d.?)
(William Stewart Dickson, b.1908 Garvald-1983 Dunbar)
Jessie Scott Dickson (b.1923 Dunbar-2001 Dunbar)
