Hello forum,

Thanks to a previous post here about the Benfield family of Swanage, I now seem to have been able to get a bit further back with a Dorset line.

However I am missing three marriages to try and join some more dots and wonder if anyone can please help me find them.

I am looking for the following:

1. Nicholas Windsor/Winsor & Elizabeth (perhaps surname Vine) c1683 - had children in Winfrith Newburgh

2. Thomas Plowman/Ploughman to widow Elizabeth Windsor/Winsor c1690-1690 - Had children in Puddletown & Winfrith Newburgh

3. Edward Plowman to Mary before 1727 - had children in Winfrith Newburgh & Broadwinsor

If anyone can help I would be grateful.

Best wishes,
Jon

Thanks, Paco. Yes this is indeed his burial. But no idea where they married!

I have still not found any of these three missing marriages as yet.

Have got to keep on digging...

The Vine family seem to have come from Cheselbourne.

Have just found out that the parish registers of Bryanston are defective with the marriages only from 1599-1637 and 1756-1975.

The Bishop's Transcripts were also burned in the Great Fire of Blandford in 1731 so I now rather suspect that these missing marriages could well have taken place there!
