This advert has Thomas Watkins retiring in1840 and selling all stock from Cwmbargoed Farm

he appears stil to be alive in 1856, when he is reported as 87 years of age

In 1860 four of the Watkins brothers got into a spot of bother

jenkin watkins was in a long running bastardy case with a Hannah Lloyd c1864

Edmund Watkins died 5 November 1864 at Blaen Bargoed, aged 76

Isaac Watkins of Blaenbargoed died 23 December 1910 in his 71st year.
