Hi to all, I have a pretty good knowledge of my Irish family who were Curran 8 Braade Upper. By using the 1901 and 1911 census I can fairly accurately get the birth year and marriage year of my ancestors. Luckily by using the site Ireland Reaching Out and following links to Glencolmkille and find a grave, I was able to pinpoint certain dates of births and deaths. I always knew my Irish grandmother was a Margaret McGonagle and with a bit of detective work found her and her family in Meenadreen. From the Civil Marriages 1864/1870 which I found on Donegal Genealogy site, I found her parents marriage in 1866 John McGonagle and Bridget McGinly (from Meenacross) that same record showed their fathers names as Peter and Patrick. So I can now get back to their births being around 1810/15 I hope some of this is useful if you're looking for where to search, if you happen to find anything yourselves please post it, I'd love to hear any snippets of information.
