Good morning,

I always thought Word and Exell came as standard on windows, wharever version you have had. We have always had both and never had to pay a subscription. Even when I updated to windows 10.

I think If you upgrade to Windows 10 then you will still have the Word Program installed on your computer, however if you get a new computer with Windows 10 you only get Microsoft Office for a 30 Day Trial. See http://www.rootschat.com/links/01jdu/

Thanks, everyone for your advice.  We are currently trialling Open Office, which seems to be a good (and free!) alternative.
