Can't find Abel Ellison

Hi,
I'm trying to find a birth/baptism record for my g.g.grandfather. I know from censuses that he was born in Monkwearmouth in about 1868. He is shown living at Shotton Colliery in 1871, but the family then returned to Lancashire. I have so far been unable to find anything, so I'm hoping someone can help.

He's registered under Abel Allison D1868 Sunderland 10a 575 mother's maiden name Rogers.

Thankyou so much. That's him. His mother's maiden name was Rogers.
But I still can't find the entry on Freebmd.
Do you have any acees to parish records. I would love to find his baptism. I know they were R.C.

You won't find him in FreeBMD if you're including mms ROGERS in the search - freeBMD doesn't have that information indexed until Sep Qtr 1911 birth events onwards.

In FreeBMD, just search ALLISON, Dec Qtr 1868, Sunderland and he'll pop-up.

The GRO indexes, do include mms in results:

Baptism is pay per view at Durham Records Online. Abel Allison, 1870, at a church in Easington District. Fathers name on the free search is Alfred, so its the right one.
