I recall that sometime last week a window came up on top of either the home or Search BMD page that asked me if I wanted to 'get started' or simliar. I think I just clicked on the cross to turn it off. It's not popped up again.

I've been a member since the olden days of 1837online  so not sure why they wanted to know if I wanted to know about the site  :-\

Did you have anything like that and possibly have clicked on the wrong choice?

Rosinch/PrawnCocktail,
Between you, you may have solved it.

I logged off everything and did an orderly shutdown and full power off.

Started up again after a few minutes and the logon process into FindMyPast appears to work like it used to. Tried it  three times and it still works.

Thanks to everyone, we will see what tomorrow brings.
