London photographer
« on: Wednesday 01 February 17 14:58 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Can someone please help.  I have a photograph taken about 1950; stamped on the back is the name "E. Edwards, Upper Claton."  Is there a list of photographers for that era.  I have tried searching on Google but I have not found anything.

I would appreciate any help.

Roy

Hi both
If that is the East End then that's him; any idea when he died?

From his army records he was born circa 1888. There's a possible death in Paddington in 1962.

Many thanks for the details; I believe I'm right in saying copyright lasts 70 years after the death, doing the maths it has been 55 years since he passed away, surmising we have the right guy.
