Lost Worts
« on: Wednesday 01 February 17 17:31 GMT (UK) »
I posted the original post many years ago and having no luck finding the person in the photo gave up. Please take a look in the photo restoration forum board where I have posted today to view the photo of Leslie Worts. Now I have re-visited this photo and the mystery of who he was. The photo was amongst a number of family photos found when sorting a relatives property. On the back of the photo it says "Leslie 17 years, son of a Miss Worts who married a German and emigrated".
Does anyone have any idea when the photo could have been taken or any other clue as to who Leslie was? Would it have been after the war. The Worts family was from Radnorshire/Breconshire.
Bit of a long shot I suppose given the lack of further information but you guys have been amazing finding information.

Hi

This is the only German-sounding bridegroom I can see. Is it too late?

Marriages Sep 1957

GEWINNER    Willy K    WORTS    Radnor W.    8c   1037
WORTS    Barbara A M    GEWINNER    Radnor W.    8c   1037

It looks like there were two daughters born to this couple 1959 and 1963 in Cardiff.

Giggsy

Thank Giggsy but the family you found are not directly related to the guy in the photo although I believe there is probably a distant relationship which I am trying to determine.
The search goes on!
