This is a distant uncle of mine in the 1939 register.

I wanted to ascertain who the young girl Mary Veronica is ... but the details on the image don't seem to correlate with the information on the index?

Any help appreciated.

As you have her full date of birth have you looked through freebmd in the December qtr 1926 and March qtr 1927 to see if you can find a birth for her?

Is it definitely 1926?  There is a birth in the Dec qtr 1928 for a Mary V McLaughlin in London

Indeed I have, and nothing to my eyes, but regardless, that wouldn't explain why those details are missing from the original image and that they have been annotated years later it appears.

Annotations years later usually show a married name, I think.

So you are possibly looking for a Stott/McLau** marriage.  Possibility in 1951 Manchester

Hey thank you for this - I was looking for a birth under the name McLaughlin NOT Stott, so thank you all for helping with that.

On that note, I really can't work out how she connects to the Levers, who are my family - any ideas?
